TangaYetu, through the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) , is currently conducting a five-day
TangaYetu Mindset Training for 51 young people. The training runs from Monday, September 22, to Friday, September 26.
The core purpose of this training is to prepare the youth before they begin their carpentry training, which is part of a scholarship program. By making good use of this chance and remaining attentive, the training is designed to help them improve their economic situation.

Furthermore, this mindset change initiative helps the youth of Tanga City overcome negative societal perceptions. It works to build their confidence and empower them to take action toward achieving their personal and economic goals.

Participants have shared positive feedback on the impact of the program:
- Abed Mohammed from Nguvumali Ward stated that the training opened his eyes to the importance of setting and following through with personal goals. He noted, “Everyone has their own goals, and not everyone can achieve your goals on your behalf”.
- Mwanaisha Yusuph from Duga Ward mentioned that the training helped her avoid living under the influence of negative societal perceptions. She advised, “Not everything you hear with a negative outlook should be believed”.

Ultimately, through this effort, the youth of Tanga are being developed as future leaders and entrepreneurs, equipped with a positive mindset and a strong drive to achieve their goals.
